    I love my tirfor, so versatile. They only get old on about bog number 6 It's amazing how much I use that and a high lift around the house too. I would buy both of these before I bought an electric winch. My preference is for PTO driven winches for reliability because often you'll find an electric winch if it isn't used or checked often they don't go when you need them to.

    happy with my Warn, plus the winch bar is a handy leaner as well.....

    Are there any decent lightweight Tirfor clone setups out there? Was thinking one would be handy for the jet boat most are about 8kg for the winch and another 8 or so kg for 20M of cable? only needs to be able to safely shift 1000Kg or so boat would be about half that

    I've heard the biggest thing to avoid is any of the Aussie ones.

    (Just say winches with a west island accent)
