    From my experience it tends to strip any polish off and dulls the paint and I THINK it promotes rust in some way. (that’s my 2cents worth!)

    the spray foam type cleaners work pretty well to get the stuff off. Also got some stuff same as we used in the open cut in the washer bottle. Thats not too bad either but have to go and have a squiz in the garage as I cant remember what it was. Its purple and I think i got it from BNT

    I use this stuff when my washer bottle is empty its 5L capacity so i just dose the washer bottle with 200mL of this stuff and fill the washer bottle to the top works a treat and 4L bottle lasts years

    every 6 months when i wax/polish my car normally polish the glass aswell all windows and water beads off for afew weeks at least on the windscreen lasts longer on side windows because no wiper, also use good wiper blades not tridon nasties

    I find road film best removed with a handful of wet fescue type grass from road side.

    Soggy newspaper USED to work too - something in the old sort of newsprint I suspect.
