My Pajero has a 9500lb Terrain Tamer in it. It doesn't even have a corded controller just a little box/reciever that plugs into where I assume the corded controller would normally plug in and a wireless remote

    Remoto

Can't remember off the top off my head but can't of been to hard as I had done it.
If you get stuck this should tug you out. Seriously 223nut, you can pull up the drive pull mine apart and follow the wiring pattern if needed.

One like Ryan's would be a good option, KH I don't think it's so much a problem with the wiring (I tried a fair few options assuming black - and red + but it's probably different where ever it was made....) Will try it with a better earth later today. Paid $50 for the one off trade me and see the one on trail Maxx is $140 so suspect I brought a dude

As mentioned, the clicking says the solenoids are working so I'm going with the earth fault too.
Good luck, electricity is a demon. Just don't let the black smoke out of the wires or nothing will work.

Looks like I'm going to have to buy another one after this one got left out in the rain.... oops

The plug on controller is working fine so it's an issue with the wireless set up. Tried using the multimeter on it and got nothing coming out of it when trying either in or out buttons. Pretty sure I got a dude

I’m pretty sure you got a ‘dud’ judging by its lack of performance and its price.

Now what you do with that ‘ dude’ is up to you!

A semi flat battery in the remote has a huge effect on them
I'm Assuming you've tried it with a fresh battery?

Had a quick look at it but it doesn't have an easy access compartment, need to take 4 screws out to get into it. But good idea... Will check that if the new one misbehaves

Have you tried Traxion in Auckland? They import a lot of winches.

@Ryan_Songhurst are there any names or numbers on yours? Seems like terrain tamer have stopped doing winch's and no one has any of the old parts laying round.

Have ordered a different brand one off trade me as a last ditch attempt. That doesn't work I'll have to wire in an 'extension cord' the the existing plug in remote
