    As a side issue is anyone else having a problem with CCI hollowpoint subs going supersonic? Had 1 in 5 doing it today.

    Hmmm, yeah put some through a Chrono today - fastest one 1132fps slowest 1080. Average 1099fps in the test so the odd one is going over.

    Well, here is a trick from the French for you: zero your scope at a 100m or 120m, use the lower dots to shoot up to 200 and beyond, and the upper dots for shorter distances ;-)

    yep, i expect that is what El B will do... or use higher velocity ammunition. Personally i wouldn't zero the rifle for a longer distance because it would require me to remember a whole lot of new hold unders for shorter targets that may be set under a tighter time limit. I would expect in a 22LR shoot to have mostly shorter targets and therefore would set up my rifle to best suit the majortiy of the targets rather than the occasional longer target.

    hell now thats hard mate for sure .! this comp will be optics . traditionally everything weve done has been prone so i think a change needs to happen to test all competitors - i for one shoot like shit standing , mind i can hardly hold my h/power rifles up for long as they weight a ton after a few seconds

    1 on 1, head to head shoot offs, multiple targets each from 25m to 150m - first to hit them all. Either based on time or on head to head knock out.

    Gongs vs target. 1 shooter on the gongs one on the target. The target shooter tries for the highest score he can in the same time it takes the shooter on the gongs to hit them all. Then they swap.

    Action M shoot. 2 shots prone, 2 shots standing, 1 shot kneeling/sitting, reload, 1 shot kneeling/sitting, 2 shots standing, 2 shots prone.

    Naa, you guys are not getting it... Man on man is just IPSC, multi position etc is just NZDA.

    El Tweedness wants a TACTICAL event, so here is what what I propose:

    Standard firearms, you shoot what you get issued.
    Standard kit, you carry your shit in a pack you get issued. Oh, and you can leave all your fancy crap at home, we will provide you with 15kg of bricks to carry for the event.
    Each event needs to be preceded by physical activity to get your heart rate to at least twice your resting pulse.
    All events will proceed irrespective of weather conditions.
    And lastly, but most importantly, while competing in these events, competitors will be randomly subjected to any of the following:
    - ice water
    - being shot with a paintball gun
    - loud noises
    - disappearing/moving targets

    bar the paint balls i think you get the prize!!!! given time this would be perfect -- less bricks per every 5 years of age me and rushy would have a coronary otherwise lol;
