Heard from several friends during the weekend re items they were after at Carvell's
Off license were fairly hot prices
One friend got a cartridge pistol for a steal
I got a very cheap vintage shotgun
Percussion pistols were hot
Some of the little items to complete a set were very expensive
So there still seems to be a little life yet left in the auction process here.
The last Antique Arms auction in CHCH was well run and an example that it can still work even for clubs and volunteers.
Ruahine still seems to pull in the lots.
But they are only as good as the last club member to have died ( sadly )
The Church of
John Browning
of the Later-Day Shooter
Strong money on that 1911,was it especially tidy?
"Sixty percent of the time,it works every time"
Odd they don't post prices realized - guaranteed they're running off some sort of spreadsheet, and it's about 5 mins of work to copy it, cut out the info you don't want, and print it to a pdf with all the headers etc.
Anyone attend the one this last November? Wondering on the price for the mp38 #167
