Dear Northland Shooters,

We currently have a unique opportunity to establish a regional shooting complex at Flyger Road on Northland Regional Council land just 20 minutes South of Whangarei.

It is ideally situated for Northlanders and visitors from Auckland being close to SH1.

It is intended that the complex will include a 300 m centre fire rifle range, a pistol range and a shot gun range, as well as small bore and air rifle.

In the long term there will be a club rooms and camping facilities as well as other recreational facilities on the site.

However none of this will come about unless ALL Northland Shooters show their support for this project.

You may have access to a range at the present time, but as we have seen in the past in this world nothing is permanent, especially where shooting, noise and ranges is concerned. Three ranges have been closed in the Whangarei District in the past few years.

Please show your support for the Flyger Road Project by attending the meeting at the Cafler Suite, Forum North, Rust Avenue, Whangarei at 7.30, this Thursday 26 July.
