If you run a shoot ill come and enjoy it ,but its far from my choice of sport its more like watching paint dry compared to hunting ,and i consider both as hobbies . lol

Why not say 2 locations in the NI, 2 in the south 600y identical targets and make the results postal?

Fair enough but the crew go to central North Island already and shoot so I thought a good Idea to make an event of it rather than a casual shoot .Still can do a postal match but how do you get a winner when everyone shoots totally different conditions?
I hope to see some enthusiast like me get come together and compete - I really enjoy competition and camaraderie of long range shooting

Thats great but you must have done bugger all all competitions if you cannot find an answer to your own question.
    Its simple logistics and admin.
The comp would never be decided without a final that has to be shot.
Maybe we should just do a South Island one for now if there is enough interest.

Its a strange thing that spins each individuals wheels , I find Longrange really exciting -the whole set up and consideration process and them the kill -very satisfying

You need to get your blinkers off,
and think outside the box or you will get nowhere with this.

R93 I want to run a shoot where people turn up meet and compete -North of Taupo against south of Taupo .If someone wants to organize a different sort of match good luck to them -its not I don't want to have the south island in it its just not realistic for this type of match I want to run .If there isn't enough people so be it .My Auckland shoot had one member there and several non forum members -these matches are not everybody's cup of tea .I hope in time there is a contingent of guys on the forum who will travel and on a regular basis

We use to do heaps of postals in target shooting, was easy way of doing it an gave you some challanges waiting for comp/nationals etc.

Only gay thing with ones i done would be mouths before you herd an by then you would have forgoten about them, could enter some champs in aussie an england by postals an same thing them medals would turn up ages after an would be like WTF was that for in the pile it goes.

Postal would be good way of doing it like a f class match?? an targets also would be easy to make it standard then to.

Fair enough. I would have thought you would have found it easier to work out way to involve more competitors.

I think it would be easy to get something of the ground.

Its being discussed now. But seeing we in the south have to pay heaps more in everyday utilities because of you dorklanders we are struggling with to agree on a joining fee for you lot.
