I haven't laughed that much in a long time.
Even the less than perfect weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits.

Whitebait patties, if you arrived early enough. Crayfish, Wild Pork, Rude jokes, Heckling, Fires, Guitar playing and singing and almost a serenade thrown in for good measure. Finished off with a hell of a lot of good banter that made for an evening that lasted into the we smalls, where Pengy apparently got to turn 60 a second time.
Howling wind, headaches and chilly rain this morning was made bearable with lots of coffee, along with bacon, eggs ,venison and sausages with a few more coffees before a bit of a clean up and everyone parting ways again.
Thankyou everyone for a grand evening.

And to everyone that helped make Pengy's gift a reality. Thankyou very much again.

Bloody good to catch up with the South Island crew. Weather wasn’t the warmest but the hospitality was. Awesome night with awesome people, all celebrating the birthday of a top bloke.

Thanks team and HBD again Tim

Great night. Those North islanders are actually good buggers lol. Lots of laughs, great company, good food, beer what else can you ask.
PS Im glad my Partner gave us huge amount of laughs getting lost in the Mu on the way up.
Nearly sent the search parties out, then she turned up with the stories of going thru rivers and driving into no mans land to turn around lol god knows where she went.

Then bleary eyed getting up in the morning hear a vehicle coming up and someone goes, fuck, its the Mu again and shes still trying to get home.
Surprised she still had diesel...... you would of heard the laughter in the North Island haha thats the sort of night it was.......just cant beat it.

    Forum at its best!

    Truth:
only 3 of the guests on the night were NOT from the forum. One of those was my "landlord" (yeah right)
Had it not been for friendships forged via this very cyberplace, I would of spent my big night more or less alone.

I sincerely thank you all, whether you were there in person or in spirit.

Pengy mate, it was a great night & you were a great host, for all the shit that can pop up on here & ye old FnH forum, over my years of being on both this is where most of my friendships are nowadays.

It come's down to what sort of mates / people would you like to associate with - genuine, honest, fun, wanna go do stuff, good buggers & actually care about each other ?

Then yup this place tick's all those boxes, in a world that's full of "cunts" nowadays, this is where the true "GC's" are & we look after each other
