If so I will enquire about booking the lodge.

Could be worse, just think of the offshore island to the north.

Righto so in trying to book the lodge.

Ringing the number in the link in the OP is a no go it is non functioning.
So I rang Picton Doc HQ who didnt answer the phone.
So I went to Nelson Doc HQ where there was nobody home but their was a number on the door that I got an answer and was told to go to the information center.
Went there and was shown what I have already found to be outdated but they did ring picton office and get an answer.
So now I have just got off the phone with picton office and despite the place being packed out when I visited on the 25th they are not taking any bookings at the moment intill probably may at the earliest due to the lease changing hands. Nobody seems to know what will happen from here but I was given the name of someone to ring next week.
The campground is still running as per normal but not the lodge which I found a bit odd but it is what it is.

So do we wait and see? It might be june/july before we can get the lodge if at all.

We can camp but hot showers and warm bunks for cold divers and fishers is preferable to cold showers and sleeping on frosty ground or trying to cook in the rain.
