    Ended up going with a pair of Vortex Diamondback 10x42, new for less than $300. I can't justify spending big dollars on binos yet, I will a few years down the track when I appreciate them more.

    Enjoy the Diamondbacks and remember they have a lifetime warranty. The new D205 2016 model arrived in the other day and the clarity is reported to be even better than the previous model. Looking forward to test them out in the next few days. For under $400 they are a good buy.
