    Bennett's in Invercargill I have used

    I did a Thread a year or two back on different models and the ones I rated worst at doing this
    Also detailed info why it happens
    But cant find the Thread.

    Yep Bennetts Christchurch Branch had good service from them on a pair of Sportivas and all done by courier as I couldn't get into town at that time.

    Honestly i wont worry just buy some new ones,

    Ive tried a few brands and only boots that held up and walked the soles off have been chrispy, has asolos and lowa do the same as above

    There is a guy at the Lillybrook shops in Rangiora who repairs shoes, cuts keys ect but he was a boot maker in a previous life. Had a pair of meindl done and did a really good job.

    I tried to use him but he was never open whenever I made it to Goon, that's when I ended up using Bennetts in Chch.

    Wore Meindels for 10 years in the Army. (1998 onwards) They must have begun using inferior products, as those boots didn't have any of those sole issues that I can recall.

    Get a pair of new soles from Staeger and send the lot to Perrett Shoe Repair in Ashburton (027 437 5840). Cost was circa $200 when I did it last.

    Alan is retiring in March. Best get the work done soon if you need any.
