Good as guys pm me your addresses. I'm probably maxed out at 3 for now, if you guys like them I can probably get some more and bend up a few more if others want one

Another really worthwhile and cheap mod for your huntaway is to buy a roll of velcro from mitre10 and make up some little loops for retaining straps, pet hate of mine on packs is straps flapping about the place so I've put them on all the main adjustment points so one you've get your pack set up and comfortable you can retain all the strap ends

Bit of bicycle inner tube is great for this too, handy having a few extra emergency fire starters hanging off the pack.

Good idea, I usually just tape mine.

I have often thought of getting Cactus to sew some MOLLE/PALS whatever into it. Not for huge weight but just handy to attach shit to the outside in some places. The best place would be along the top of the pockets, but they would be inherently weak so that is a no, the lid, yeah, maybe, but then it would be less waterproof. Doesn't matter if you use a dry bag I guess. The sides get used with longer things in the pockets or the scabbard if you have one. It just doesn't leave itself open to any other real placement that would be an advantage. On the back, yeah, but then it makes the pack thick and backward heavy when it is already just right...

On there way to you guys this morning. I've only put the minor bends in them roughly where they need to be so you'll need to wear yours a bit and decide if it needs adjusting, don't go crazy bending the alloy as if you put a kink in it, it's buggered !

One of the things I like most about the Huntaway pack is that isn't doesn't have loads of buckles, loops, straps, and other crap hanging off it ...

Took the pack out for a small walk today with the frame Ryan made up for me (Consider this a nomination for the good buggers award 2025 for Ryan) and it felt real good. Wasn't loaded right up but the weight transfer was loads, with a capital L, better than the stock standard. I always used to find the pack, although great, tiresome, on the back after a full day with a decent load. I will give it a good thrash over the coming days and report in. Initial findings are: If you have one of these packs throw money at Ryan to make you one of these!
