Cactus Norbu jacket - any experience?

Has anyone got one or tried one to provide some feedback? Don't appear to be many online reviews apart from what's on their own website.

I run pretty warm so I usually get too hot in a full on down jacket like a wear on earth which I am sure would be a great alternative.

A downside is it looks like Norbu jackets are made in China not NZ.

They're made in NZ. I have a couple of them, more a dress jacket than a functional outdoor piece. Lightweight and more packable than their "proper" down jackets but pretty bulky for the warmth they provide.

“Country / Region of Manufacture: Black: China, Olive: China, Spice: China and Navy: New Zealand. ”

They look really heavy for what they are, if you plan on carrying them anywhere in your pack etc.

I also have one of them, my only comment would be that they are reasonably warm, super bulky, but like all stony creek down jackets they don't breath at all so any kind of activity while wearing it will result in getting damp.

Thanks, yes I have just read a few reviews on here about the Stoney Creek so might cross that off my list.

Agree, I have one and you get damp just wearing it sitting still!

I was going to buy one when they first came out until I tried one on - it was too short in the arms and I have got pretty standard length limbs. I have got a couple of other Cactus jackets that fit a lot better. The young fella in the shop said wasn't the first to notice this.
