Thread: Cheap down sleeping bags

After a couple for the kids....3 season.

These seem good value does anyone have any experience of them?

The site looks like a heap of gear you can access from Ali express. I got one from Ali express for the kids and has plenty of down but a bit lumpy in places. Not really tested yet, however it will be warm but likely the odd cold spot. Was $150 landed.

It’s a challenging one as you want to keep the kids warm but a down equivalent here you wouldn’t get change out of $500

Stag....try karate chopping down around baffles into thin spots.....if that makes sense??? or if you think its really bad,trick to refluff old tired down bags is put in tumble dryier with tennis balls and pair of clean running shoes to beat it up.
was shown years ago by rep from fairydown/macpac??? how to move down around in bags,you can put more on top or bottom of bag depending on season to regulate temerature...me I just use a $15 liner from warehouse,it ups rating when cold and keeps decency when it gets too hot and main bag is opened up and used like duvet.
