I've done the odd cruisy camping trip with a stovetop style espresso maker, this sort of thing:

But usually to keep the weight down I just use a 'brew basket' that weighs 17g (I just checked) and was $5 on sale from macpac, with pre ground (plunger grind, not too fine or it can get a bit through the mesh), never been keen enough to carry whole beans and a grinder in.

So the hand held grinder holds enough beans for 1 cup, but I take extra beans anyway, anything else just doesn’t taste fresh...
You can add more or less water depending on how strong you like it, it’s not super small or light, but who wants to mess with coffee, right?
    I second the AeroPress.
The aeropress is possibly the best travel coffee apparatus available, it self cleans as the piston wipes the cylinder, just remove the strainer and push the puck out, done.

I mainly do overnighters before I leave the house I grind about half a cup of C4 beans to a fine powder with a commercial grinder. I make turkish style coffee in my tall small billy on the hill.
I have swiss cup and travel plunger etc. But this gives me the hit I need to fulfil my heavy espresso habit.
I also chuck a handful of beans into my scrogan to keep me during the day.

I use the bags in the bush. I Buy the strong ones and get 2 cups per bag. I like buzos idea of a few beans in the trail mix

aeropress, makes most of my coffee at home as well. but I'm the guy who uses cold water with his instant coffee so I'm obviously not the most fussy of addict

I bought an aeropress but wasn't impressed at all, and ended up giving it away. I prefer a normal coffee plunger.

I wouldn't mind giving one of those Moka pots a try though.

I use a Kaffelogic - a guy in port chalmers makes them, like a commercial version of the modified popcorn maker. Roasts 100g in 10 mins.
