I've tried its of different coffee set-ups and have settled on:
    - home - vibiemme domobar, mini mazzer and kaffelogic roaster
    - car/fly-in - stainless double wall plunger and some decent beans
    - backpacking - jeds coffee bags or a drip filter. Tend to use the coffee bags the most. Lazy option!

I think if I was to brew coffee on the hill, I would go to the paper filter method, as it is compact and you dont get too much heat loss. My main issue with the aero press when I looked at them awhile ago was that the cylinder will soak up a lot of your heat.... yeah yeah I know coffee isnt made with boiling water ...but I do like to retain as much heat in a hot drink as you can. Otherwise its gone in a few gulps!

Jed's if you have it, but not fussy otherwise......................$5 bucks for coffee is better spent on other things like primers, powder and projectiles
We have flash coffee every now and then at home but I live on Jeds 5 and take the same into the hills.

Yep I've got one of the hand pumps. I use it when I travel for work. Grind fresh beans at home and take them with me.
Have 2 stovetop espresso pots at home and a breville espresso machine.
Life to short to drink shit coffee.

I also chuck a handful of beans into my scrogan to keep me during the day.
Hmmm beans in the scroggin, now there's an idea worth trying.

If you hear a rustling sound it's Barry Crump rolling in his grave after reading this thread..... I can faintly hear him shouting "Billy tea, boy or a teaspoon of Greggs Instant!"

    Sorry; couldn't resist!!!

I got a nanopresso as a gift. Awesome espresso but quite fiddly. I love good coffee (the one great thing about Wellington!) and the little pump works a treat.
