Shock Horror Distress... Mrs just got back from Germany on Monday. My instructions whilst there were to buy me some bits for my old Stihl 023 including a new carb. Genuine parts are too expensive here to make a do-up worth it. She phoned Stihl in Germany and was told that all the 'genuine' parts are made in China. So the cheap carbs on ebay and Alibaba are it, no German made parts or saws... So if you are buying a Stihl you are getting a Chinese saw anyway it would seem.

Their pro series saws are still made in Germany.

I used to get all my parts from Ebay.com because the local dealer is hopeless.Now I buy all new saws each year instead of cocking around fixing old shit like I did for 20 years.
