Thread: Dealextreme, customs stops batteries ? WTF !

Anyone else having problems ?

Dear Customer,

So sorry for keep you waiting so long.

After checking , we've got notice that your package was returned by Customs. Because the check for item contains lithium batteries/knives or products that contain liquid is very strict these days . As for this package ,we are going to refund .

Not yet, my last lot of 18650 batts came via Sweden from China and took 8 weeks. I'm waiting on a cell phone battery from DX at the moment that I ordered 6 weeks ago so will see how that goes.

That is crazy. What about laptops. cellphones and the batteries for them? I have a 20 pairs of cells on the way so hope they get through.

Yep got same answer, they then resent them through a different postal service, that was 6 weeks ago, have heard nothing since

Da what about power tool? Took a cell out of a LI ON, plugged it with a .22 and watch it burnt, quite a neat trick!

oh crap I have a bunch of torches/battery's (18650's) and a charger on the way
shipped well over a month ago so should of been here by now

I've been in contact with DX since the 3 week mark and they just keep saying don't worry it will show up

Just ordered 20 batteries from fastech so will lets yas know how we go , Philippines post

Got refund from DX, customer service responses take a bit of time, and some language difficulties, but happy overall.

Pity, I was really looking forward to the torch.

I have a torch here you can have and the batteries both for free, and they are brand new

I think It's a copy of the one you ordered

One of old my mans suppliers in china, when he queried delay, told him they had all their packages returned due to airline admin changes, all had to be resent.

that sounds like a lot of things they sell

still waiting on aliexpress to deliver mine.

I ordered a headlamp WITH 18650 batteries from aliexpress 2 weeks ago and package arrived mid week. Used Singapore Post

Doesnt look like fastech going to be any better guys ,,,,will keep ya updated

Not our customs but overseas.
Most can no longer ship lithium batteries due to airline restrictions (fire/explosion risk).
I believe dhl and a limited few others are still shipping.

Happy to be proved wrong.
