Try it out for a little while - it may have right beam width and range for your shooting in its standard form. Stock for that one is about 85-90,000 lux.

If you wish more range gadget will dedome it for you and then they are seriously impressive for a scope/handheld light. They will read 180-190k lux, with ANSI light distance measurement in perfect conditions of about 860 meters (down to equivalent of full moonlight on target).

    All of ours are dedomed.

I went and got a M24 Sniper on the recommendations of Gadgetman and Mudgripz.

After one trip out with it, it is by far and away the best light I have ever seen, let alone used.
Amazing range, brightness, and the batteries lasted the whole length of the small rabbit hunt I took it on.

Utterly fantastic torch, I can't recommend it enough.

Thanks for letting me know about it. I'm stoked

Yep got my M24 and its great, little bigger than I expected, but certainly throws out some candles and more, I may get gadget to de-dome it later.

Google SPARK. I have one I use for everything. Runs off 18650s.
It is grunty but has 3 settings and a magnet that comes in handy.

My new 2X arrived yesterday and mudgripz has taken it for testing, and has also grabbed my original SN so gadgetman can tweek them both up "just a little".
Here's a comparison pic of original vs new.

Mmmm... the new M24 is the size of the original SN6X-2 above, and is the fourth development version from it.

The bigger 2X above came about because we wanted to experiment with big head technology for longer throw with the XML leds. It is more of a handheld but we're looking at option of a lightweight 2X - maybe down to 350 gms from 440, and coming dedomed from factory.

The next production run of M24s and 2Xs will likely come with XML2- U3 leds standard so they will have amazing power - esp when dedomed. They all have amazing power anyway...spotlights on a stick !!

How will the U3 chips affect the runtime in an M24?

No difference in runtime. Increased lux output with U3 is because its more efficent - not because it increases current.

I seem to remember Amanda from Maxtoch telling me they do make the M24 with a single batt. Would have low runtime but if an on/off rifle light it could be good.

Sidney if you want to find out more email her : amanda@maxtoch.cn

Also consider Convoy C8 torches or XinTD C8 flashlights - they must have XML led and smooth reflector. Dedomed these can be quite useful. You can email and get them from Rick at Mountain electronics in the states (really knows his stuff) - or from aliexpress:
