Apparently chinapost is having a bad christmas/new year period and Maxtoch have stopped sending alot of goods until they straighten it out. Expect the HO1 and also maxtoch batts to be available before too long.

Also looking at getting the Convoy C8, because... just because its cheap....

Do it - you won't regret either of those torches. Both play a role on two different rifles and I have zero regrets.

Did you get the C8 with a battery and charger?

This Convoy C8, is it a general walking around torch? I left my maxtoch with my father while im not in NZ, he likes it but says its to bright. Was thinking of getting him one.

I brought a Convoy C8 thinking that because it used the same LED as the Maxtoch it would be just as bright with half the runtime. I found that it's about 40% of the brightness. Still a good torch and well worth the money but not as good as the maxtoch.

My Convoy C8, mount, charger and batteries arrived the other day. Super stoked! One small problem though, the light only comes on when slightly unscrewing the barrel from the head (about a 3/4 turn back from tight) and it only turns on periodically I suspect I have a dud and have contacted the supplier. Has anyone experienced this and been able to resolve it themselves?

Some of the torch models in the marketplace were designed for shorter batteries and you had to operate them a turn loose when using longer protected cells... I don''t know Convoy but if other probs you'd have to contact them.

Amanda from Maxtoch tells me today the Maxtoch (panasonic) 3400mAh protected cells needed for the high output Maxtochs lights will be on sale again 8 Febuary after the chinese new year.

choice, will be ordering a couple spare.

Righto, after the delay of chinese new year, I got a reply from Convoy, after i sent them a video. The middle tube section was shipped the wrong way round! I corrected it and now it works great. Who would have thought......

Came in a 2 pack only have one torch. Anyone need / want it? Fits 1" and 30mm scopes / torches. Some young fella or someone who needs it over just someone who collects stuff.

Seems to work well on my stumpy.

How much are you after for the mount? I could be keen cheers
