Do the m24 and 2x work with protected cell 18650 batteries, or only the slightly shorter unprotected?
They will work with both but the protection circuit protects one of the batteries from being driven too low if the capacities are not equal enough.

Got my M24. First impression is very good. Haven't fired it up yet as I don't have any batteries.

Play around with it beavis and if you want more distance shoot it down to gadgetman to dedome. They are excellent lights standard but the dedoming makes them quite special.

Cheers I will see what I think. I'm surprised by its size and weight or lack of. I sort of expected a tank of a thing but I'd stick it on a rifle happily.

Yes. It means you don't have to bin a cell every second charge.

Gadgetman I have just bought 6x Panasonic 3100mah protected batteries, is it ok to charge them in my old trustfire charger or do I need the one that people sell with the panasonics?

The one you have will be fine as long as they fit in it. I just use the Trustfire chargers too.

Does anyone know if batteries would actually get to NZ if we did a bulk buy? I know airlines aren't that keen on them
