    Game Gear short gaitors

Just wondering if anyone had tried the Game Gear short gaitors? I've never used gaitors before; but really like Game Gear stuff in general. Mostly just for light bush work; not heavy alpine stuff. I had thought of them to help protect the healed surgery scar from my broken ankle too. The screws etc are awfully close to the skin! Thanks!

I've also looked at the Brit army gaitors....

@bumblefoot if you decide to wear gaiters in the bush...which isnt silly...there are a couple of tricks to make life easier/better
get pair of soccer shin pads or something stiff like mill felt/carpet and put piece say 8" wide in front of gaiter/up the shin
it gives you protection from those logs under the ferns that hurt like a mofo when you kick them,it also helps keep gaiters up...which is constant PIA if your legs are anything like mine.... they also help keep wasps off lower legs.
if you hunting in cooler or especially wet weather...pull your fleece pants or indeed any long trou OVER TOP of gaiters,it seems counter intuative but KEEPS THEM QUIET and water runs down trou and onto boots rather than down trou INTO socks under gaiters...its actually rather surprizing how long your feet stay dry this way.
I wear cheap ones off trademe which have useless rubber straps underneath which I cut off...I close hook onto bottom lace of boots and they stay there till worn out, they have velcro up shin which seemed dumb but works well and keeps them up...will find link for you to contemplate.https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cam...4445257a08-001
