    Garmin, 62sc GPSMap, run time,

What sort of run time do you guys get on your Gps,
I have the above and am very disappointed with it, its flat after 4-6hrs, from full charge, or with new duracells, I thought it would give a couple days, or better, only have it on when hunting, half day at best, could there be something transmitting and burning up the batteries ?
    your thoughts

I have a 60csx and it chews normal batteries too, put a set of lithiums in it and it seems to go forever, make sure you go into settings and chosose the battery type you are using as I think that makes a difference also.

I have done probably 20 days total on one set of lithiums , thats using it for an hour or so each day and leaving it turned on for a few hours at a time sometimes plus the odd session for an hour or two playing "snake" on rainy nights haha

Depends what settings you have turned on. Backlight brightness kills the battery. Constant track logging kills the battery, etc.

Google power savings for a Garmin, step 1 turn Backlight off.

Normally get a weekend out of it easily. just use it less the less battery you have.
Good batteries help, enloop? Rechargeables higher amp and heaver the better

Haven't found the snake game yet, iphone has angry birds!
Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.
