    Not sure if you guys have worked this one out but if you go into your contacts, click poll location on screen it seems to force update there location to you so they don't actually need to push button on side

    There 's an online Garmin GPS guy in chch. I bought the battery pack and 12v supply from him. Great service and prices. Haven't got his card w me but I'd recommend him

    Can you please tell me which exact model Rino you have and the exact process to get poll your mates LATEST position. dont have one myself, but mate has a pair and insists that the process as you describe it above will not work on his pair. Just trying to figure if they could be faulty or user error. Cheers.

    No worries pengy.
    Turn on gps
    Go to radio icon
    Click the friend button (2nd in from the right at the bottom of screen)
    Click on your mates name
    Click poll location
    It will come up with a message that *friend* position has been updated

    Must be. It certainly works on mine. Have tested it out quite a bit. Obviously both gps need to be turned on.

    @Pengy also make sure he goes into
    Radio icon
    Settings button, 2nd in from the left at the bottom.
    setup radio
    allow polling
