Those with maps can you take a pic or screen shot of what they look like.
I have map toaster and hoping that the 650 shows some more shadows etc on the contours

You can switch the contour shading on/off on most models Spanners. With it set to on, my 62s running freshmaps looks very dark, so I switch it off anyway

I can't remember what my other one is.. Hcx or something and it looks very flat with the map toaster maps in it ( just like pics on their site )
If seen others with a shadow as such that I've it more if a true Topo map look

    Can't get lost now Timmay

Get the car charger and a small 12v battery with a charger adapter and you can recharge each night in camp.

    Cheers

Put the LINZ maps into a folder called "Garmin" on your microsd card

It will now be seen as a custom map.

You will have to select the map you want in the menu.

Can't remember where to look for this at this stage.

    It may also autoload.

And put a screen protector on your Rino before it's too late

    Cheers
    Pete

ah the 100 tiles issue - thanks Garmin

Each linz (mostly I think) is 54 tiles so only 1 map can be loaded .......

You got a bargain on the GPS, so why not splash out and buy Freshmap or Maptoaster.

Maptoaster is possibly a better bet right now. $189 gets you sd card plus the computer version which has ariel pics as well. Gps version also has DOC boundaries
