Hehe, we were shooting 800,900,1000yds compo yesterday in that wind. Made for some interesting corrections and guesswork

The 1000yds nationals are today, but I am working Be interesting to see how the guys are coping today. Still blowing like mad down here.

If taking a chilly bin remember to use block ice not bagged ice as the later melts way fast. Frozen soft drink bottles work well and you can drink it once melted. I think the rule is to have at least a third of your chilly bin's capacity in ice - pre freeze or chill everything going in it. Salt ice lasts even longer.

I bought a 41 Litre Cool-Ice Bin from a local marine shop which looks good the only thing I could need in it is beer or I guess I could fill it with ice and put deer meat in it if I get lucky.

Make sure you take the camera and a notepad and pen/pencil to write a diary. I for one am looking forward to reading about your trip on here. Good luck.

Thanks for that. I like Josh James Kiwi Bushman. I will take some photos and record my experiences. I am very excited about this trip and just hope I have everything I need. I think I am fine though.

Right I think I am all set to go now. The only thing I wish I had of bought was a meat safe however, I have a couple of pillow cases and the hut has a meat safe apparently. I have uploaded a few videos of the gear and food that I am taking. Links are below.
A couple of things I forgot to show was my map and compass, cell phone and steel for sharpening my knives.

How big a chopper did you order?...did they give you a weight limit?
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.
