Recently picked up a pair of Crispi Nevada Legend GTX boots & absolutely love them.. Exceptionally comfy, didn’t require any breaking in- first time wearing them was doing the Jumbo-Holdsworth circuit in the Tararuas & my feet felt great. They’re a lot lighter than my shitty Kathmandu ones were too. Done a few trips in them now & they’re great. Will definitely be replacing with the same thing when I need to.

My waterproof lining came loose on the first day of a 6 day fly in bush hunt. Made a loud squeek with every step. Got pissed and cut the lining out to keep it quiet enough to hunt in then a day later the glue on the sole let go. Ended up hunting the rest of the time in wet socks. They were only about 5 hunts old too, never dried in sun etc. Things ate laces too. To make it worse, as I'd cut the lining Kathmandu wouldn't give me a refund or even replace them.

Huntech rain jacket. Hated the internal cuff design and the sleeves were generally too short, especially with layers underneath. Replaced it with a a Hunters Element Odyssey Jacket. Soo much better.

Cheap duck decoys. Took a while to learn that one, fewer top quality is better then a lot of poor quality.

A cheap semi auto shotgun when I was a teen. Ended up on single shot all opening weekend as the thing constantly jammed.

Numerous shit clothing from China that arrived and didnt fit - they have no fucking concept of clothing sizes at all.

Sadly, maybe my Boonies. Good boots, worn them once, fucking near dislocated knees, hips and ankles trying to get the fuckers back off. Might still wear them if its wet enough, we will see.

Cheap Trail cameras.... brought plenty of them over the years, they never work well.... brought 4 small ones the other day, walked a few hours to my spot and set them, go back 3 months later and find out that they had turned off after a few days.... battery indicator read full still....
Brought another cheap brand recently and set it only to find that it has recorded in some odd format that i cannot find a program to view the footage.....
Also had another brand leak and condensate inside and all i got was photos of a fogged up lens....

My Leupold ventana spotting scope. It's not really any better for game assessment than Binos and I have wasted alot of time trying to squint through it instead of just walking closer.

ridgeline jacket ...yep had same problem .

Remington Mohawk 600, purchased in 1979.
Bought it because I had seen one of the earlier ones and liked the light weight and short barrel.
The magazine was made of plastic and basically fell apart after a years hard use.

No.
It was a great 4wd.
It had probably the best equipment levels and on and off road performance of any vehicle of that era....It was just the most unreliable and expensive to maintain pos I have ever had the misfortune to own.

Fair enough, I'd take reliability over capability any day

I regret buying any gear my boys see. It’s very odd. It develops strange magical properties that eventually render it useless. It will disappear never to be seen again. Or it strangely reappears at random times - broken, ripped or with holes in it.
