I run their nylon Flash Pants all year round for hunting, can't seem to wear them out

If only fairydown and macpac were still nz made they would be killing it now! The originators of back country hard core quality gear that worked so well it didn't wear out quick enough for return business.

Some time ago (2018 I think) I purchased a Sightron S111 scope, the wholesaler was Deadeye Dicks and it came via H&J Smiths Outdoor World/Gun City in Invercargill - at $1600 a fairly significant purchase for me.

Anyhoo in 2020 it "failed", the reticle went off plumb. Recently with the unfortunate announcement that H&J Smith were closing down I figured I really should make an enquiry about Sightron's lifetime warranty.

A conversation with the H&Js guys saw a shared phone call to Deadeyes (who by now had the scope) and the offer from them to replace the scope with a new one of thesame series but updated model. My "new" scope has arrived and is in use. A very big shout out to Deadeyes . . .
