    Got given a Schrade Old Timer good knife but found the hook a pain in the arse so ground it off, caught on to much

    Anyone ever bothered with an Ulu for skinning?

    Probably only makes sense if you are hanging whole and don't need to carry it.

    I have a cheapo one with a modified edge for scraping prior to tanning and it seems to do the trick.

    Pretty amazing to watch Inuit hunters skinning with though.
