Home security with an old phone

    Alfred

Not sure how many are aware of this, its available for both Android and iPhone, just requires the old phone to have internet access.

Tried Alfred when overseas recently. On Android smartphone.

I got the paid subscription as it gave me more resolution, also more flexibility re saving footage etc.

Had to get a friend to go and reset it, I should have switched off any updates and reboots on the phone!!!

Not any old Android will do, if the Android version is too old, won't install.

For outdoor and indoor use set up the phone combined with sensor lights, and ensure they don't blind the phone.

Put the phone among clutter to delay it getting spotted.
