Just looked at the scary sharp video.
I would still rate the Eze sharp was ahead as have the ability for infinitely adjustable geometry and a way quicker turn over system of pull twist release.
Also the eze-sharp youum are not sharpening up hill but flat.
I will go take a photo of mine.
I took a photo of the clamp that is designed for scissors and sharpening blade shears ect.
I have been using mine since the early nineties as still going strong.
Oh and cheaper.

+1 for warthog easy to use
I re sharpen my outdoor edge disposable blades on it also
thanks for the posts in this thread. I've been thinking about a new sharpener for a while but didn't know where to start. It's been really useful to see everyone's views and weight up which sharpener will work best for me.
I have been using a Makita 98202 blade sharpener for some years. The machine is primarily designed to sharpen planer blades (which is why I bought it) but it is flexible. The one I have has a 1000 grit wheel which produces a polished precise edge with little effort. I see them come up for sale occasionally.
cheers for the help, I ended up pulling the trigger on the warthog v4
simple and easy to use sounds good when its going to someone else
no doubt it will be out in the shed and given a rough life between fileting efforts
Got a butchers buddy, works well. Only have 2 stones but it gets a knife sharp enough for my needs.
Not an endorsement, just in the interests of sharing and in case you have a spare 23 minutes to fill.
