I must be missing something. Mind you maybe they have changed there design. I brought mine when they first started product.
Very happy with mine but it’s 28 years old how time flys the can someone take a pick of these sheaths that they don’t like and I’ll post up a pic of this when I get back.
I have pics here but there not that good. Basically full length sheath with a fold over flap with a dome lock.
Stops the knife falling out if you go inverted (tits up) also stops all the leaf and debris getting inside.
Here’s a poor pic of it. Name: B7D67934-7F29-4FCF-B0DE-EB921F33B5A7.jpeg

I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

Yeah, now made of plastic. Well, some sort of synthetic material.

Come to think of it, it's much better than leather for all sorts of reasons. If you'd like to swap that crappy leather sheath for a space-age tech one, I'm happy to swap..?

    Oi.

    PM'd.

If this one works, you're welcome to have the space-age one if still interested?

Make your own , its a great hobby and very easily done with a minimum of tools if all your wanting to do is a make a fixed blade sheath .
I did it as a hobby for years and used to make posts about my sheaths , but Photobucket and I had a disagreement and I lost hundreds of pics of my work and processes.
An amateur can still achieve very good results .
Here is a couple of pics I have left of mine , but they are for folders not fixed blades .
Never did make to many fixed blade sheaths because they were to easy

For some reason I can’t attach more than one pic , but anyway hopefully you can see the level of edge finish and stitching.

Not much anymore, I still get the leather out on occasions but it’s more to make belts etc .
I’m still having trouble posting pics , but here’s an old pic of one of my first folder sheaths .
I was always proud of the rolled edge , it took some concentrated effort to get that right

I can make a kydex sheath for you, I need the knife in hand to custom mold it though. Usually around $50 give or take depending on style, size, colour.

I’ll post up the measurements and picks for the original sword sheath as I’m now back so those that have the new not so good version can make the original
