Same with sleeping conditions. Do some practice sleeping in similar conditions. Sleep on the ground with whatever you will have on the trip.
The Princess and The Pea fairy tale was probably written after reading the Hunt Shoot forum.
I would take this advice with a grain of salt.
At @XR500 get together I was sleeping under a fly and could hear water dripping, checked it out as I thought it must raining, my fly leaking or something.
Find out Jeffs water cooler or chilly bin was leaking running down his cruiser deck and dripping on his bag/bivvy.
Must have simulated chinese water torture to sleep through that.

Not to be discounted. Many moons ago I spent 18 months, on and off, bush camping in Fiordland. Couldn’t stand sleeping in a bed whenever I was home. Just threw a blanket and pillow on the floor and was good to go. My ex thought I’d gone a bit feral and to be fair to her, there was some truth in that. Couldn’t even go to the supermarket without going a bit septic every time somebody bumped into my trolley or got within 2 metres of my personal space. Took months to get clear of it and sometimes I wonder if it’s still there bubbling under the surface
