Be interested in a review by anyone that has got one. Im sure on the net the utube reviews and write ups on the gun sites from the USA will be appearing soon and will give a good idea if they worth the dollars or not. The USA, being Leupolds main market where every man and his dog has a opinion and are happy to post utube vids and reviews on a number of gun related and hunting sites i cant really see this being just some piece of rubbish.
Not often will Leupold risk getting a bad name posted all over the net from gun mad and leupold loving americans with something with the Gold Ring so for 1150 surely it has to be not bad. Wait and see i suppose

To suggest otherwise is not only protectionist and self serving, but either naive or dishonest. Watch this space...
@Sidney. Can you expand on your comment re restricted entry.

Leupold have dared in the past releasing some rangefinders which were not up to scratch. Probably made ( with components?) from third party in Asia.
They are an optical company, and at optics they are doing pretty well. The electronic side of things is where my concern is.

In the past, particularly in reference to ex-military gear getting NV and thermal in had to have permission from the govt. NV for night flying helicopters used to have to do so. ITAR regulates both the import and the export out of the USA of product designed for military use.

All NV and thermal was military until more recently, and its no surprise that the commercial civilian gear that has been available recently is manufactured in Canada and Europe and not the USA who are still paranoid about this stuff.

This all changes with civilian product, as evidenced by Leupold. It will happen more often.

Who is selling them for $1150.
Hunting is relaxing just like Yoga except I get to kill something.
If it Flies it dies and if it hops it drops.

Do you think their main use will be in the open areas like the tops or in the bush?
