    lever action cheek piece

    hey everyone
quite a while back I finally got my old oeg sight mounted on my rossi 357.
Now it really could do with a cheek piece to get my eye in line with it.
Can anyone recommend one that isn't cheap/nasty or way overpriced.
Its only on a small rifle so nothing big and bulky either.
I considered making something like the old enfield sniper rifle cheek piece but didn't really want to screw into the stock. If I get the shits with it and go back to the open sights id have to take it off.
some of the leather ones look the go but seem either too dear or don't fit and stay on as well.
thoughts everyone? @Carlsen Highway what do you reckon?

That explains it...a few months ago, I bought a M92 in 44 mag off Tard Me. The top of the stock had two small rubber plugs inserted in it. Until now, I've been at a loss as to their use. You've reveled it eventually. As an aside, the seller never mentioned the plugs or photographed that area of the butt. Such is life I guess...

Closed cell foam under elastic bullet holder of good old duct tape is what I use on my mini 30.

yeah I did something similar when I had this sight mounted on my shotgun.
I wanted something a little nicer for the lever action.

ye ol rubber thong cut to shape with ye good ol silastic , should do the job an the silastic wont rip the finish off the wood when its time to re think the idea?

with my levers i tend to keep them for life an make them practical over good looking so i wouldnt have much problem tryin the glue to some foam or rubber to sit it up as an indicater for the cheek to sit on.
    food for thought anyway smiff
