The best ground anchor I have found is my Defender for the Hilux's to get through @MSL
That may have been the one built by a good mate of mine, I think he sold them as the "Salmon Winch". Had a really nice cast alloy housing with the drum out front and and it bolted to either a Stihl 66 or 88 Magnum powerhead... I can't remember which. Yeah he had em on TM for a while and short vids on Youtube of pulling logs and boulders around a paddock. Did a quick search but can't find any reference to it now sadly.
We have another thread on the original winch I made and I still have this one in the shed as well
I kept the Tecumesh 2 stroke on it and apart from being loud it’s still powerful.
