    I havnt used it myself yet but a mate took it into fiordland with my swaro ats 65mm and said it was solid.

    I have also seen some guys hang a water bottle under there tripod to use for a counter balance

    A 700g tripod and ball head rated to 7kg. However, I'd sooner not use the thinnest leg sections in the interest of stability, and the ball head is inferior to your pan tilt head.     I bought some nipple warmers off that guy
