    Salomon quest gtx are great light weight stalking boots and quick to dry if wet.

    I thought this lightweight boot thing was going to be the answer to all my prayers.... yea nah. Done one trip and back to a normal boot, my ankles were absolutely killing me from the strain of trying to stay rigid the whole time with no support.

    Yea rolled ankle in the middle of nowhere isn't really my cup of tea. Don't need to be toughened up if using a decent boot anyhow. I can see the merit if Bush stalking or day hunting but pack on back and tops type country they're a recipe for disaster

    Sorry bad theory @gimp everyone's made different. I'm got what you call hyperextensive joints. Which basically means more flexibility than most you can pull all the jokes you like but I'll still beat you out of the supplejack.

    Sorry to troll the Thread - but I want some answers on what Harkila Boots are like - anyone got/had or used and if so - let me know as I want to start bring some in if there is interest
