    Not surprisingly it blows itself out if I open bottle valve fully

    My opening this discussion here illustrates my doubts over its safety and proper burning.

    Am thinking at the moment;
    Fit adjustable regulator
    Conjure up an air/mix baffle using hose clip or suchlike
    Build a dedicated wind guard

    The classic folding lid two-burner camp cooker just didn’t have the heat I wanted to run a wok or large frypan, hence looking at a bigger burner
    Why do you feel it must have adjustable regulator, I thought those single rings (and others) were used with a fixed set regulator

    They're normally "regulated" by the valve/tap going into the cast.
    Mine is like a flame thrower if I try that...and I did...just the once

    The tap/valve on mine is a p.o.s.

    It leaks at the tap if loose (audible gas and spectacular flame!), and when I tighten the bottom nut, at the point where it stops leaking, the tap itself won’t twist open/closed

    I think I got a Friday afternoon job. I can’t return it as I had the hose altered per previous so I can run off Companion fitting.

    Sigh. Nothings simple!
