I have wide feet and the gufferts were still a little tight, sold them without ever using them.

I’ve been thrashing a pair of gufferts for 5 years now and they are just coming to the end of their life. Have had lowa and crispi as well but will definitely be replacing with another pair of gufferts.

Boots. My pet whinge. I’ve been a shepherd for a long time and have trashed many pairs of boots, and have seen many others destroyed also. Had a few pairs of meindls ( makalus and makalu pro) when they were the in thing and they all fall to pieces, one pair of mine and a couple of others that i know of had the whole sole peel of at the heel while nearly new. And don’t even bother trying to get hold of stager sport. Any boot with a nice nubuck soft leather outer should be steered clear of. They all crack at the front where the toe flex’s, that includes lowa, got a pair of them at the moment, never again. I’ve had 2 pairs of boots that I really rate. The Meindl super perfect. Weigh a tonne and cost a fortune but last a long time and are super comfortable. Never seen a pair in a shop here you need to order them in. Sportiva evo gtx Nepal. Super supportive excellent leather very comfortable but also rather expensive, I’ve got them at the moment too. I’ve got a badly damaged ankle at the moment and I can walk all day in the sportivas, without too much discomfort, but not so in the lowas. That’s my rant over, be careful buying boots they are very expensive items and it’s a real piss off when they fly to pieces unprovoked.
