    Ya helium argon mix is used on al but I don't know in what application. Always used argon on al mig

    Yea makes it hotter/cleaner/faster as argo shield does for steel.
    You can get different mixes. If you find you don't have enough grunt for heavy al run a mix, makes a huge difference but is more expensive.

    Hey fellas. I ended up getting a mag mate 250p off trademe. But I don't have an owners manual and is quite like to have a look through one. Anyone know where to download one? I've Googled it and only come up with boc.com.au and it won't download for me

    was looking at that................ i bought a new mag mate 150, goes real good, the guy talked me out of the boc smooth arc that i was going to buy............................
    running co2 as i already had the bottle................ Argo would be better
    Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

    Yea I bought the one from Auckland, it's a bit rough but was cheap.
    I got a bottle of argoshield from Boc for it

    for general work just use co2, cheaper and more forgiving with metal cleanliness
