Hi what size bag did you use thanks

I got the Easton 8" Nail Pegs and they are wicked in my opinion- can really smash them in and they've held in some pretty gnarly weather

A large will fit the full tent. A medium will fit the fly if you decide to not use the inner during summer, then poles and stakes just slot into the pack where there is available room, just using velcro one wrap to keep the poles together

Bringing this one up again - the endless sale at Kuiu on these Mountain Stars has me wondering how everyone is getting on with their purchase. Alloy poles still the go? Go good through winter?

I am fly camping most of the time in NI bush but would like something for more open country/colder weather

I've been wondering why they have been 40 percent off for so long now aswell. It finally got to me and I purchased one to replace my old kuiu mountain star that is now leaking.

I've used my old one all over nz had it in torrential rain and some crazy wind and it held up well. I did have to sit up half the night holding it up in the wind but I'd doubt many tents would have held up in these winds.

Wonder if they're updating the model again .. seems a bit soon however.

Good to know you've put it through the wringer. I think I will get one as soon as I offload some stuff some from the shed, doesn't seem like the sale is going anywhere quick.

I’m thinking the same, why I’m hesitant to purchase one but I need a tent

It's late hunting season over there, so now is an ideal time to clear.

I thought the same that a new model might be in it's way. Then I thought, the new model might be $1000 + postage vs sale price of $700 posted. Still get a full warranty and there's nothing wrong with the current model so may aswell send it and save the $$$.
