    MSR tent seam seal fault/s

Hey. I have two MSR Carbon Reflex tents. A one and a two. I've not looked too hard at them in the past but both appear to have the seam sealing starting to perish, with the newer 2 being the worst. The one has the velcro pole clips sewn on but the 2 has them glued. One has already come off from the 2, bummer.
I've a trip coming up soon so I'm needing a solution. I have bought some seam sealer as I figured it was just a bit of maintenance required which I was OK with doing. The primary issue is the old sealer has become tacky flakes. It won't brush off completely so applying the seam sealer may not get a good seal and to come back to it is going to be ever harder to sort.
Anyone had similar experiences? I think Tightlines are the agents and they are just down the road from me so I may pop in and see them.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

The agents Ampro sales were very good when I had tent trouble.

I had the same problem with one of my msr tents, took it back to where I bought it and it was replaced immediately.

As above speak to agents. If not looked after , need to really clean ll residue & waterproofing tape off, clean with a solvent , 90plus ethanol will work , then glue it with some sail tape, some amazing new age glues out for sailmakers
