    50cm would be good
Allow it to come straight down the left side past scope, taped and run along stock to thumb location.
Any excess you could loop the excess and tape to stock

I'd have thought 40 was plenty... even if you mount the light slung under the barrel that should be long enough

Curly cords are pricks of things.
400-500mm should be plenty, 40m would be massive overkill
    Nesika and jord like this.

Hey Gadgetman, are the boards direct to copper mounted or still with dielectric layer?

Ok thanks for good advice - the consensus from here and nzrimfire site is fairly clear.

Maxtoch will make cord length for the M24's pressure switch at 40cm - and a part of that 40 will be in curly cord. 40cm is plenty for normal use but the curly section will allow those who need more cord e.g. when mounting pad on longer 12gs etc to do so.

Maxtoch also bringing out a similar pressure switch for the bigger 2X. This has different threads/tailcap from the M24 - part of the weight saving for the lightweight M24. So different switch coming for the 2X - no doubt they'll standardise threads over time.

They are putting them into production straight away.

How do the lightweight torches handle recoil?

I seem to remember the original maxtoch did not like being mounted on the end of a shotgun barrel - blast recoil would be very heavy there.

Boys have no probs in our squad using them on 223s and 243s - scope mounted.

So awesome, but does it mount the LED direct to the copper, like a sinkpad v2 or noctigon? Or is it like the Illumination supply ones with the silk screen behind the led?

I would assume direct to the copper, I have not taken the emitter off to inspect. It is solid copper and I'd expect the middle pad to be against the copper sub straight.
