    Tapering is just another process. Looks nice but a bit more faffing around, and a little more complexity when drilling pins for scales etc.

    I've got a bit of steel floating around as well if you need some, I'm with John 1/8 inch is a good all rounder.

    Happy to bash out a heat treat for you as well if you like, feel free to hit me up if you need a hand/any advice I'm around taupo quite a bit
