I've got a Ridgeline Roar 2. I used it this Easter, it well and truly raining and it did well to keep me dry and blocked the wind well. It was a tad damp on the inside but I think that was mainly sweat. The microflece sweater I had underneath was still nicely dry and I wore them both the next day, whilst the coat was a tad damp it wasn't waterloddeg and kept me warm and dry again. I was very impressed, due to costing me $200 from 1-day. Heaps of good pockets and is quiet too.
I've got the Roar 2 pants as well. They kept me warm and dry, but due to me usually only ever wearing shorts they were sweaty as, but kept the water out and kept me warm.
Got them off trademe second hand so I'm pretty stoked.

    British DPM Goretex Pants

Was listed as used. I would say issued but unused. Think some of the Brits must be allergic to rain.
    Spot on there Gadget!

I use one of the Goretex tops too, I'm on my second one now after the first cost me bugger all compared to some of my other hunting waterproofs and lasted me a couple of years of abuse.
They aren't lined so weigh very little, the hood is very big as it's designed to fit over a helmet and they have kept me dry!
For the money, there isn't anything else that compares and being lightweight and compact, they're easy to stick in the bottom of your pack on those days where they just might be needed.

Other than the name inside I would swear the stuff was new, ... and nowhere near the silly prices of the civi gear.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Earth Sea Sky jackets are amazing, I have a lot of friends that use them and rate them very high. Being made in NZ it's great to support the brand.
I own an Arc'teryx Alpha LT Pro Shell and I love it! Couldn't ask for a better jacket, payed $500 for it instead of $850 and after using it once over New Years in the horrible rain, it more than payed for itself. I now swear by it! Mind you, I use it for Mountaineering and Tramping, not hunting.

I ended up getting the Tahr XP and really like but the sizing was not quite right for a tall skinny fella like myself so I gotta sell it. Will get a custom one when funds allow...

I've got the Alpha, Alpha LT and Alpha pants. If you want lightweight & packable go the LT. If you want increased weather protection and abrasion resistance, go the Alpha. Best wet weather gear I've owned. Quietest that I've used, not much "swoosh swoosh". Arc'teryx has it's reputation for a reason.

The Alpha Parka looks nice, but if it's that wet I'll just put the pants on.

Hopefully they will last me many years. I haven't needed their lifetime warranty yet, but I have heard that they look after their customers.
