    I favor leather slings

    they stretch and grip in a way that makes off hand sling shots really stable

    synthetic slings which I have slip round too much

    Iv made my own from leather belts and uncle mikes quick detach
    also leather workers make them in seconds if you take the quick detach

    they weigh more than a bag strap is their downside, i still run one on a kimber montana

    The best there is. Stretch to absorb shock and non-slippery to stay on. Quite light too. Had one for 15 years and still good (cue trolls).
