Still effective though MD. Townies have all sorts of trouble walking over cattle stops :-)

The new 4K Eufy range with built in solar panel are great. They run off home base that you’d setup in your house where wifi is. The range from camera to home base can be way further than 40m. No subscriptions to worry about and you can add extra storage to home base if required.
Google Eufy Cam 3. $1000 for two camera and homebase setup.

I would do a bit of research on Eufy and security (and what the do with your images) before I brought any Eufy gear. Some of the stuff they do/did is a bit shit from a privacy/security perspective - also some funny stuff on how easy it is for an intruder to wipe the camera with the touch of a button. Personally I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole,

Parabeam is a great and reliable bit of kit. Worth every penny.

Helped my son install a 4G security camera on his building site the other day. Is about 3.5m up a galv pipe pole. Has its own solar panel and the camera has full remote control on his phone app- swivel/tilt/zoom. Was about $420, seem pretty damn good. Here's a pic taken about half hr ago when they were pouring the slab
