Side effect of a semi lockdown is that I manage to find some time to do some more work on some knives I have been trying to work on, this one is now almost done, 01 blade, brass guard and pommel, green g10 liners with green micarta and copper pins, still has a tad polishing, sharpening and a sheath to go.
The design came from a guy who is apparently a sniper in Afghanistan, basically a small khukuri shrunk down to a more portable item, still big enough to do a tad of chopping but mainly designed for slicing.
The back Swedge is not sharp, just there to take some weight out and make it a tad better at piercing.
Very positive grip, for biggish hands.
I chose it to try a tad more brass wor, getting better but you can see the pins.

Here's a good type and well priced knife for deer (in USD). XHP is an excellent steel.

Damned nice.
Had some crazy g10 sitting around. Wasn't feeling it in scale form but vipers recent handle goodness encouraged me to give it a whirl. Nitro-V at 61-62 with carbon fiber frame handle. Designed to be a simple kitchen workhorse/tester so we'll see how she goes then smash out a couple with some nice timber.

@MB, thanks for the comments. I have flicked you a PM
Me and my son (16) did a knife making course last Saturday - I'm no knife guy but we had a great day working the forge hammering/shaping the handle etc - was a xmas voucher from the wife.
Taking new knife to haast next week - hopefully it wont look this new hahaha
Can now appreciate the art - wow
