    Lets be honest with our selves here........if some loser has a knife held against your throat or your dear lady's and demands you open up the cabinet I'd bet he'll get the contents and anything else he/they want,,if someone's desperate then a lockup aint a lockup.

    That's true but a decent lockup will , in theory , stop a 'casual' burglar when you are not home. Assuming that is that they don't find the keys or have tools...

    You're right, but this isn't a thread about keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, it's about keeping the police happy. Not necessarily mutually inclusive processes.
